Faustin Rugambwa, MA defense

Faustin Rugambwa is pleased to announce that he will defend his MA thesis on April 3, 2009. His e-mail in French I append below. Emmanuel Anglican raised some support for Faustin and his family in 2007-8. My initial appeal for Faustin can be seen in the September 2008, Emmanuelite, p. 4 ("A Project Proposal and a Forgotten War").

Faustin

Moussa Bongoyok, Daniel Kambou, Seeking the face of God

Hey Steve: Thanks for starting this blog.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that I've posted the first part of Moussa's course that he gave at Emmanuel Anglican in 2004 on Islam. The first part, an Introduction to Islam, can be found here. I'll let everyone know as soon as I've prepared the second and third parts.

Daniel Kambou sang "Mon Compagnon de Route" at Emmanuel a few years ago. All of the songs from his first album, which was a hit in French-speaking Africa, are now available here.

Also, my theology prof. Dr. Daniel Pecota spoke at a retreat I helped organize in 1989: The series is entitled, "Seeking the Face of God". Dr. Pecota spoke about the character of God based on the five facial emotion: The God who winks, weeps, laughs, scowls, and blushes.
